For Wednesday/Thursday: Memorize the declension chart on p. 81
For Friday: Do Exercise 11d, p. 82.
For Monday: Make flashcards for the vocabulary on pp. 79 and 82.
For Tuesday: Study for Ch. 11 quiz.

EXTRA CREDIT

You may do as many of these as you like, but the Latin to English translations must be completed by the end of the first week back to school after Winter Break.  Any extra credit you want counted on the December progress report must be submitted by December 9.

Latin I
1. For up to 10 points each, translate the story on p. 56 of your workbook, or the one on p. 64-65 of your workbook.
2. For up to 25 points, compose your own original Latin story, using the vocabulary and grammar we have learned.  There is no minimum or maximum length, but points will be awarded based on correctness, originality, and length.

Latin II
1. For up to 10 points, translate the dialogue on pp. 53-54 of your workbook.
2. For up to 20 points, translate the story on pp. 47-48 of your workbook.
3. For up to 25 points, compose your own original Latin story, using the vocabulary and grammar we have learned.  There is no minimum or maximum length, but points will be awarded based on correctness, originality, and length.

Latin I
For Wednesday/Thursday: Read "Major Gods and Goddesses," pp. 68-69.
For Friday: Make flashcards for the words on p. 71.
For Monday: Study for Ch. X quiz.
For Tuesday: Invite a beloved elder to join you at school on Tuesday.
For over Thanksgiving: Think of all the reasons you are thankful you are studying Latin.

Latin II
For Wednesday/Thursday: Do Ex. 34c and 34d, p. 66.
For Monday or Tuesday: Ex. 34f, p. 67.  I will collect these for your Ch. 34 quiz grade!
For Tuesday: Invited a beloved elder to join you at school on Tuesday.
For over Thanksgiving: Think of all the reasons you are thankful that you are studying Latin.

Homework for November 7 through November 14

Optional homework for all:  bring in any kind of instrumental music in a medium you can leave with me (i.e. burn a CD), so we can listen to instrumental music of your choice when we are working in class.

Latin I
For Tuesday: Make flashcards for and study the vocabulary on p. 63.
For Wednesday/Thursday: Choose two sentences from Exercise 9e, p. 67, and parse them as we practiced in class.
For Friday: Write three original Latin sentences that make use of the ablative case.
For Monday: Do either the odd numbered or the even numbered sentences in Exercise 9b, p. 65.

Latin II
For Tuesday: Make flashcards for and study the vocabulary for Ch. 34, p. 63.
For Wednesday/Thursday: Memorize the comparatives and superlatives on pp. 66 and 67.
For Friday: Do Exercise 34g, p. 68.
For Monday: Do either the odd numbered or the even numbered sentences in Exercise 34f, on p. 67.
